Whats up with the Far Right being so concerned with DoD Directive 5240.01?
Main Post:
https://www.esd.whs.mil/portals/54/documents/dd/issuances/dodd/524001p.pdf
It was amended on September 27th, and I've seen multiple MAGA supporters from my hometown sharing posts about how the amendment means the Government can assassinate US citizens and use deadly force on protestors.
I've downloaded and read it, but can't seem to figure out what they're talking about. It's been a month since it was amended. What's the deal all of a sudden?

What is Department of Defense Directive 5240.01? Pentagon's Military Update
Main Post:
The Pentagon updated Directive 5240.01, a document setting out how military intelligence could be used by local law enforcement and other U.S. authorities, in late September. The Secretary of Defense can approve "assistance in responding with assets with potential for lethality, or any situation in which it is reasonably foreseeable that providing the requested assistance may involve the use of force that is likely to result in lethal force, including death or serious bodily injury," in the official wording of the document.

My understanding is that this directive actually limits how the military would handle this by requiring the secretary of defense (and no one else) to authorize the action. This doesn't give the military any more powers (because those powers are determined by Congress not the military itself). This is a pretty good summary: https://youtu.be/Io5pTJy2MDY?si=mu40Vj7Jp1gJ9RAa
She sights her sources too if you want to crosscheck what she says.

Thoughts on 9/27 DoD directive 5240.01?
Main Post:
Context On Sep.27, 2024 the DOD under Biden's Appointed Secretary of Defense reissued DOD 52400.01 Section 3.3.a.(2)(c) authorizing the military to use lethal force against US citizens.
The qualifications as outlined for justifications of such actions is anytime SecDef or DoD determines that there is threat of life.
What do you guys think?
Top Comment:
Did you think the "and domestic" part of the oath was just for kicks? Being a US citizen isn't an impenetrable legal shield against the military using lethal force on you.
I really don't understand how people find it surprising that if I'm ordered to guard FEMA workers or whatever, and you roll up and start shooting at them (and thereby, me), I'm gonna shoot back.

A watchmaker will have to manually readjust the minute hand, even if it magically resets once or twice. You can try letting the chronograph run through its course completely and see if it solves the problem but the fix will probably be temporary.
This 90's two counter layout is a common movement used in many different brands during the time period, it should be relatively easy to service. Officially it is Omega caliber 1138, it is an ETA movement with Dubois Depraz module on top.
A simple service should do the trick, it is a reliable movement otherwise.
